  15. <p>     CONVICTED. EDDIE ("Crazy Eddie") ANTAR, 45, former home-electronics
  16. king; on 17 counts, including stock fraud and racketeering that
  17. ultimately netted him some $80 million; in Newark. At its peak
  18. in the '80s, the Crazy Eddie chain was known throughout the
  19. Northeast for its low-priced electronics. Through inflated inventory
  20. records and other scams, Antar apparently pumped up the value
  21. of Crazy Eddie stock and made a fortune by selling his shares
  22. before the truth came out, a scheme uncovered in 1987. Antar,
  23. who for some time was a fugitive living in Israel, faces up
  24. to 11 years in prison.
